Produced in an exceptionally limited edition of just 380 individually numbered bottles worldwide, CNK pays tribute to the house’s founder, Cristiano Nicolau Kopke, whose initials give this remarkable release its name. At its heart lies an extraordinary assemblage of some of Kopke’s most precious old reserves: Ports dating from the 1920s and 1930s, together with an exceptionally rare 1900 Colheita. The wines underwent extraordinarily prolonged maturation in oak in Kopke’s historic cellars, creating a level of concentration, complexity and maturity encountered only in the rarest old Tawny Ports. The result is a profoundly complex wine, showing layers of dried fig, walnut, hazelnut, spice, coffee, chocolate and molasses, complemented by remarkable acidity and freshness that provide balance to its immense age and concentration. Its pedigree is reinforced by outstanding critical recognition, including 97 points from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, 96 points from Wine Enthusiast and 19/20 from Jancis Robinson. Presented in its imposing original luxury wooden presentation case, the bottle represents far more than an exceptional Port. It is a celebration of 380 years of Portuguese winemaking history, assembled from irreplaceable stocks stretching back more than a century. Only 380 bottles were produced.
